Growth at Consist

In 2018, Consist Software Solutions once again recorded increased sales and recruited lots of new staff members. The new location offers space for further growth.

Kiel – Consist Software Solutions GmbH concluded the 2018 fiscal year with consolidated revenue of EUR 29 million, taking Hamburg-based subsidiary Consist ITU Environmental Software GmbH into account (prev. year: EUR 27.1 million). This is a continuation of the positive trend from previous years. The revenue was mainly generated in the area of Managed Services, as well as in Consulting and Projects.

"The need on the market for consulting and support in implementation in the field of IT security and the digital transformation is high and is still rising. We are also seeing more interest at companies in optimizing applications for use on the cloud, and are assisting our customers on their way onto the cloud," explained Jörg Hansen, Managing Director of Consist. A high demand for developing individual software also continues to exist, more and more using agile methods.

"Companies are increasingly focusing on innovation topics such as the digital transformation and are therefore looking for an IT partner who can take care of their normal IT operations. This is why the Consist Managed Services for our customers are a good opportunity to create freedom for new things," explained Consist’s Managing Director, Martin Lochte-Holtgreven. Managed Services include application and system monitoring.

Lots of new recruitments

Consist expanded its team even more in 2018. The IT service provider employed 219 people on December 31, 2018 (December 31, 2017: 200 people). Further recruitments are also planned for the coming year, with consultants mainly being looked for.

In the past fiscal year, Consist further increased the investment in further education measures. These include a broad range of soft skill seminars for the entire Consist team and acclaimed professional certifications.

New headquarters enables further growth

Consist moved into its new headquarters in Kiel Friedrichsort on January 1, 2019. This location offers the staff an attractive, modern workplace directly by the sea and means that all can work together under one roof after around 9 years at various sites. The headquarters is situated on a 16,000 square meter plot, with a net floor area of 7,000 square meters spread over 6 floors. This provides enough space for the company’s further planned growth. The building complex, which was modernized at a cost of millions of Euros, boasts clear color accents, the use of many glass elements, state-of-the-art conference technology in the meeting rooms, as well as a parent-child office and a creative room.
