Speedy data analysis in hackathon format

The next version of the popular Big Data Hackathon will be taking place in the night from November 2 to 3, 2023 in the Consist company building. Students will be driving a fast lap with the console in the open world racing game Forza Motorsport and evaluating the data in real time.

Kiel – Those who are enthusiastic about data analysis and Big Data will get their money's worth on the night of November 2 to 3, 2023: at the hackathon in the Consist company building, participants will be generating data from a virtual racing game with Forza Motorsport itself and evaluating it in real time. The Splunk Enterprise monitoring tool will be available for the analysis. Splunk is a platform for central log management, monitoring and reporting and is based on Big Data technology.

The event is part of the interdisciplinary weeks by the FH Kiel and is aimed at FH Kiel students, but it’s also open to alumni from the FH Kiel and students from other universities. Registration beforehand is required.
Experts from Consist will be on hand to provide specialist support for the students at the hackathon. Consist has been hosting this event for many years and it enables students at the university of applied sciences to earn 0.5 credit points and gain practical insights into exciting data analyses.
